Nestle is planning to cut the sugar content in some of its best known products.
The move by the international food manufacturer is part of plan to improve the nutritional reputation of its foods.
Nestle's Ian Alwill says the company will not advertise its products to Australian children unless its products can meet tough new guidelines.
'It's fairly clear that in order to have a positive outcome with our products in the community that improved nutritional standards need to be achieved,' he said.
